This gem of a coffee is floral and bright. It makes me see neon green. Reminds me of bergamot, jasmine and orange blossom.
This coffee is one of the best washed geshas I’ve had in my lifetime. It is exactly what I want and expect it to be. It is clean & juicy. It’s sweet and round. It’s delicate yet full flavoured. Plus it’s got that trademark gesha floral all over it.
Hacienda La Esmeralda is probably the most well known farm in the world. It is recognized as the farm where the gesha variety was discovered.
Since then Esmeralda has become one of the top producers of coffee selling lots for record prices and pushing the boundaries of cultivation.
From Hacienda Esmeralda:
The code FB stands for cool fermented washed with raised bed drying. Buenos Aires 6 FB (B) was harvested on March 21 st. | 2024 from the Buenos Aires lot in Hacienda La Esmeralda's Jaramillo farm.
