Variety Gesha
Process Washed
Altitude 16 - 1900 masl
Harvest Nov - Jan
Flavours Jasmine l Wildflower Honey l Bergamot

This coffee is bright and floral. It makes me see green, yellow and white. Reminds me of jasmine, wildflower honey and bergamot.

For me this is a perfect example of what the Gesha variety can be. It is light and delicate yet has a big chewy body and good intensity of flavour. It’s like a bouquet of fresh cut flowers you can drink.

From Apex Coffee:

El Llano is located in the heart of the Acatenango region. Its unique microclimate and rich volcanic soil make a perfect combination for growing high-quality coffee with very distinct profiles. The farm is 45 hectares and rests in the shadow of the volcano El Fuego alongside 45 hectares of natural forest reserve.

Henio Perez and his two sons, Raul and Jose, have been working together with a focus on constantly developing and improving their processing standards to achieve the coffee's best quality potential. Finca La Soledad, the Perez’s family’s first farm, is well known for its attention to detail and for the longevity of its coffees.

They were rewarded multiple times in the Guatemalan Cup of Excellence and gained great respect and recognition within the whole coffee chain over time.
